Program Overview

Welcome to the PTCS website, designed to support contractors and utilities that are commissioning heat pumps and testing and sealing duct systems based on the Performance Tested Comfort Systems (PTCS™) standards.

The purpose of this website is to allow contractors and utilities to verify that particular technicians are PTCS certified and to provide information that will help technicians meet standards.

Reminder to PTCS Contractors:

Please be advised that the specifications for PTCS certified heat pump jobs are changing. Current program specifications call for SEER and HSPF ratings of 14 & 8.5. Beginning October 1, 2011 all commissioned heat pumps will be required to have a SEER of 14 and an HSPF of 9 in order to qualify for PTCS incentives.

If you are planning to commission and claim incentives for any heat pumps with an HSPF of 8.5 please be sure they are installed and submitted to the PTCS program no later than September 30th, 2011 in order to ensure the customers are eligible for the full incentive.

Jobs receiving the controls and commissioning incentive for meeting federal minimum requirements will not be affected.
